Lauren McIntyre is accused of having sex with Andrew Roberts at HMP Isle of Wight during a four-month affair while he served two life sentences for murdering his own child and its mother

A female prison guard allegedly had a four-month sexual relationship with a fiend who murdered his partner and baby.

Lauren McIntyre, 32, is accused of romping with Andrew Roberts at HMP Isle of Wight.

And it is claimed she failed to report the lag had a mobile – and “sanctioned” him beating a colleague at the Category B site in Albany, Newport.

McIntyre allegedly gave Roberts officer Samuel Laidler’s mobile number and did not warn him he faced an attack. And it is claimed she tried to let the lag move cash into her account.

McIntyre, from Ryde, faced Wight magistrates accused of misconduct that amounted to abuse of the public’s trust between August and December 2018.

She spoke only to confirm details and got unconditional bail to appear at Newport crown court next month.

Roberts was 22 when he got two life terms in 2003 for strangling girlfriend Louise L’Homme and their eight-month-old daughter Tia in Rhondda, South Wales.
